Using the website
By accessing or using Drawing Grid Maker, you agree to follow these terms and the laws that apply to you. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. The current tools are provided for drawing references, art practice, education, page planning and related creative activities.
You can use the free drawing tools without an account or subscription. You need an internet connection to open the site, and a compatible browser to create and download your grid.
What the tools provide
The Drawing Grid Maker and Add Grid to Photo tools help place grid lines over images. Grid Overlay creates transparent grid PNG files and can combine a grid with a photo. Printable Grid Maker creates blank graph paper PDF files. The Grid Method Drawing guide is an educational explanation of how to work from matching squares.
These services are intended as convenient visual aids. A grid cannot guarantee accurate artwork, perfect proportions or a particular artistic result. An on-screen preview may look different from a physical print because printers, paper sizes, browsers and print scaling settings vary.
Your photos and the rights to use them
You remain responsible for the pictures and other materials you select. Do not use an image unless you own it, have permission to use it or are otherwise permitted to do so under applicable law. Do not use the service to infringe someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights.
Selecting a photo does not transfer ownership of it to Drawing Grid Maker. The drawing tools process your image in your browser; they do not upload it to our server. Keep your original photo and download the finished grid before leaving the page.
If you use another person's photograph in artwork, printing or distribution, you are responsible for checking the permissions associated with the original. Adding grid lines does not create new rights to a copyrighted image.
Using files you create here
You may use grid lines and blank graph paper generated by the site for your own drawing, teaching, study and creative projects, including commercial projects where you have the necessary rights to the underlying materials. You do not need to credit the site merely for using a blank grid or the grid lines it creates.
You are responsible for verifying downloaded dimensions and choosing appropriate print settings. For example, a PDF intended for 5 mm squares should be printed at Actual size or 100%, not scaled to fit a different page. Transparent PNGs should be imported at matching pixel dimensions to avoid stretching their cells.
Your browser saves downloads to your device. We do not store finished files for later retrieval, so keep a copy of any grid or PDF you want to use again.
Fair and responsible use
Please use the site lawfully and in a way that does not disrupt access for other visitors. Do not try to exploit security weaknesses, damage the website, interfere with its operation or use automated requests in a way that overwhelms it.
Do not misrepresent this website as your own service or imply that it endorses another product or project. The tools are intended to help create grids and drawing references, not to bypass the rights or restrictions that apply to images, software or other content.
Site content and examples
The website's original articles, interface and visual examples are provided for learning and using the service. You may link to our pages and refer to ideas from the guides, but please do not copy entire articles, brand elements or substantial parts of the interface and present them as your own. Certain sample images are illustrations, including AI-generated examples where identified.
Third-party brand and product names, such as drawing software mentioned in a tutorial, belong to their respective owners. Mentioning a program does not mean there is an official partnership or endorsement.
Availability, updates and limitations
Tools and download options may change over time, and some features may occasionally be unavailable while we fix a problem. We cannot guarantee that every browser, device or printer will work with every feature.
The site and its content are offered on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no guarantee is made that every calculation, export or tutorial will be suitable for a specific professional use. Check important measurements yourself before relying on a printed sheet or finished image.
Responsibility and limits of liability
You are responsible for how you use your images and downloaded results. To the extent allowed by law, Drawing Grid Maker is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by unavailable tools, failed downloads, incorrect print scaling or using a grid for purposes it was not designed for.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude a right or responsibility that cannot legally be excluded under the law that applies to you.
External services and links
Some guides may link to third-party websites or mention software that can open a grid image. External services have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, security or policies.
If website analytics is enabled, its processing is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to the terms
We may revise these terms when the website or applicable requirements change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. If you continue using the website, the terms in effect at that time apply, subject to applicable law.
